IMPORTANT! The BMWCleaner and MersCleaner tools are offered for use as tools of data CONTROL but not Odometer CORRECTION - it is illegal, therefore please don't spend your time for questions as well as "where to find and adjust" - there is no instructions and will not be presented. Use your self brain and experience, and all at you will turn out.
There is no tool which will Magic Do for you all car through OBD socket. The BMWcleaner and MersCleaner are not magic tools, they cannot show and make values absolutely in all places in the car. All is known about these cars only by those who has made them - are only engineers from concerns of BMW and Mercedes automobile marks .
To learn in details where that places and how to correct - it is required not only anytool like Cleaner or Diga, but also the BRAIN and ABILITY to READ Datasheets and instructions to use programs Ediabas for BMW and Star Diagnosis for cars Mercedes.
All our PC Software can work under the any standard Windows 32-bit (checked on the Win2000...Win8.1) with ".NET Framework" installed, v3.5 or newer.
Please don't ask us how to install on Windows x64 - we don't use it at all.
Please google it, all troubles are already described and fixed many times in the web pages!

Your notice looks like "Hello, MY TOOL DOES NOT WORK (does not write, does not see, does not read) and same empty talking without any detailed explanation - is not a technical question therefore it will be ignored as not contain any useful information.
All junior's cries that looks like "the program does not see the module(car), something is not written, not read" without any descriptions of your actions, remain without the answer and with risk on further DISABLE of your account and banning of your mail.
1 - the Name and Version of the program installed on your PC, and version of your system Windows.
2 - the Version of firmware in the adapter
3 - Number of your adapter (Adapter ID)
If you are too lazy to provide this information - sorry, don't wait any help by us.

What to do if...
- The program does not "see" the adapter
- The program does not communicate with the car

- The program does not "change" the data in the car module present in list of modules

The program does not "see" the adapter - big wish not to be expressed similar, the program have no eyes, it should not see it.
- Check up the Adapter to PC USB cable and connectors. Nobody believes you an idiot, just a slight misalignment or dirt in the inserted USB connector leads to the lack of contact of one of the lines and bad USB power to adapter, and means will not coupling adapter with the software.
Some users like to tear the connectors by the wire but not for the body of connector. Please take the multimeter in your hands and check maximally what's may be wrong. Open the adapter, check the powers, wires in the cable. Walk with a multimeter the capacitors on the pcb of adapter, they should not have a small resistance or shorted. Adapter have at least the Leds, one of them connected directly to the power by USB.
- If your Adapter is version 1: device Drivers in the Device Manager (for an old cable version V1 - it have TWO devices in system: USB device and COM PORT device) should correspond with the version specified on a site, on Cleaner page.
If your Adapter is version 2 or Programmer V4 (in the USB device properties it is written - MB-CAN V2, Programmer V4) - the driver is used regular of your Windows.
- Check up adapter COM port number in driver options - should be less COM30, it is desirable to less then COM10.
- After driver reinstalling - PC REBOOT is obligatory!
If in the PC Device Manager you have not found out among USB devices the Adapter name then the device is physically faulty (the cable is torn off, the board inside adapter has faulty/burned, or its drivers are not defined or not installed - the list of unknown devices in system see above.
If it did not helps - welcome with mail, butplease specify strongly in the message:
- Specify your Adapter ID (how to find it - it's described on a site on the Cleaner page),
- The current Version of programm and the current version of Firmware in Adapter cable.
- Specify by what power source was powered laptop with software. Some people use the power invertor DC12v-AC220v for powering of laptop right by the car. It must have an ideal ground connection with the car, overwise the high current may leaks via OBD adapter USB cable ground, it may cause the burning of adapter pcb.
- Specify what exactly you did for diagnostics of damage. Not junior's tears "I plugged the connector, it doesn't work HEEELP" but full description by the Adult Man who can hold the soldering iron in the hands and do the thinking with the brains.
- Specify during what moment of process of the program shows a malfunction - the program usually shows with CAPITAL LETTERS, what exactly does it now.
- Specify whole text of error instead of the words of the description thought up by you, they are useless for understanding and fix of your problem.
If you like to send pictures in your message, the size must be not more than 300KB each picture. If you will send MILLIONS BYTES of pictures of unhappy message, stupidly photographed from your computer screen with your handphone, then all next mail messages by You goes directly to TRASH regardless of it's content.

The program does not communicate with the module(s) in car, doesn't adjust something:

- Check up the OBD connector connection quality in the car. We do not consider you as idiots, but just small warp in inserted OBD socket leads to absence of contact of one of CAN lines so communications with car will not be.
Check up the Software and adapter Firmware versions. They are updated practically every week.
Check up correctness of the chosen car in the Cleaner menu.
If it has not helps - welcome! BUT:
- Specify your Adapter ID (how to find it - it's described on a site on the Cleaner page), type of your adapter (V1 or V2).
- The computer software current Version and the current Firmware version in Adapter cable. The program version in a computer comprises an issue date, it is visible to the naked eye. If your version for example 2012.05.07.xxxx (May, 7th 2012), and on a court yard already far not May - means has changed the updates server way and you must reinstall the all software from the Cleaner page.
- Specify the car model and it's production year, For example: W212 '2010. Plase don't write me its class and motor volume (for example E220), it has no relation to a problem!
- Specify the module name and it's HW/SW if trouble causes with the concrete module.
- Specify during what moment of work of the program there is a malfunction - the program usually CAPITAL LETTERS writes, what exactly it now does.
- Specify an error whole text instead the description words of the description thought up by you, they are useless for your problem fixing.

And still, the question rhetorical - why MB "StarDiagnose" so weighs on disks much?
There often change reports of communications protocol for modules, and consequently almost to each software version for the same block is the change protocol format with the module. We has begun to hesitate them to add, any system at them it is not observed.
If the software autoupdate on the computer doesn't work:
The program version in the computer comprises a date of issue, it is visible to the naked eye, in the head of the opened program first window. If your software version for example 2012.05.07.xxxx (on May, 7th 2012), and on a court yard already far not May and not 2012 - means the updates server has changed and it is necessary to reinstall your program with installer pack from the Cleaner page.
At program installation, is possible to change only a disk letter for the discretion. Other path to programm should remain original, overwise autoupdates will not work.
If the program update does not work even after reinstalling with a fresh installer, then the problem is in your Internet channel. For example, a firewall in a computer or somewhere in the router does not let the program on our server, either a proxy connection to the Internet is being used. Try to use another internet provider, it helps often.
If you just receive a new adapter and install it first time, you have not yet received a response to your request to activate your new adapter. Your Adapter ID is not yet in our database, just wait when we add it to our database.
If the firmware autoupdate for USB Adapter doesn't work:
1. Check up correctness of a writing of a way to the FTP server( ftp://ftp.usprog.ru) in the updates window, the Adapter updates field.
Any superfluous or other symbol in line FTP addresses - the program will not find a way to our server.
2. If error looks like "530: Not Logged In" - please read below (The software autoupdate on the computer doesn't work).
3. Error "(550) file not found" - find and open the installation/activation instruction on the site and READ CAREFULLY and DO all writed POINT TO POINT.
4. If the Cleaner software do the many trys to load update file from the server, freezes at long time, show much errors, it means that YOU NEED to LOOK for ANOTHER Internet PROVIDER. Perhaps your connection goes through some VPN or a bunch of other filters or programs that prevent fast and high-quality connection without delays. The program for downloading the file uses a regular FTP channel, any communication failure leads to the loss of data packets and multiple restarts of the connection.
If there is an unknown error at attempt of downloading of a firmware file from the server - attentively read the error text, send it together with number of yours USB Adapter ( how to find the Adapter ID - it is described on a Cleaner page) to technical support, we will be try to fix it.
